Our History
Exchange Bank of Northeast Missouri originated in 1894 as Exchange Bank of Kahoka. The ownership was held by the Hiller family, who later sold the bank to six Kahoka, Missouri residents in 1963. The bank continued to operate under the name Exchange Bank of Kahoka until 1974, when the bank went through a series of new ownership. In 1998, the bank was sold to Lincoln County Bancorp, a Missouri based community bank holding company, who returned the Exchange Bank name as a way to recognize the bank’s beginnings in the Kahoka community.
